A quick note to prevent frustration: Electrosound.ru and the net labels under its auspices have all been relocated to a dedicated server. As a result, my Tunguska album has moved and can no longer be found on archive.org but rather here. I think I’ve managed to change all links to it on 833-45.net, but links from reviews or other postings on the web may lead you down a dead end. Please update your bookmarks accordingly.
Some recent notable net label releases I’ve been enjoying:
Eucci - Coast Days And Cruel - A compilation of recordings from 2000-2001 from Eucci, a faded memory from the younger days of the No Type net label. This album captures the fragile and crystalline sound Eucci carefully arranges in his work.
Reii - We fade away - A subtle, intricate & meandering set of four tracks that re-explore brooding IDM circa early Autechre & Boards of Canada without being derivative or forgettable.
..a track from my Tunguska release starts off the latest Audiomania podcast…
Recent net label releases I’ve been listening to include:
Pocka - Wanderweg - mesmerizing & engaging guitar-based drones.
The Nature of Light - Shores of Jupiter - exceedingly well done ambient chill-out.
Various other links
Radio Lab - War of the Worlds Episode - WNYC’s exceptional Radio Lab program examines the legacy and significance of Orson Welles’ 1938 War of the Worlds broadcast.
Q10, a minimal & flexible text editor streamlined for ease of use and productivity.
A big thank you to everyone who is downloading and listening to my free Tunguska album. I’m very pleased that I’ve almost broken the 10,000 downloads mark within nine days of its released, making it my most popular and successful net label release to date. For those of you who haven’t downloaded it or are unfamiliar with my music, you can read a recent review in Ampersand Etcetera and decide if it is for you.

My new 833-45 album entitled Tunguska has been released on Musica Excentrica. For those of you unfamiliar with my work as 833-45, here is an excerpt from the liner notes (written by Larry Johnson):
Just the association of the names 833-45 and Tunguska is suggestive of the sonic power inherent to this album. On the one hand, we have 833-45 delivering his own formidable take on electronic music and the noise aesthetic, but along with that we have the powerful image of the well documented 1908 Tunguska Event in which a massive explosion (possibly caused by the air burst of large meteoroid or comet fragment) flattened over 2000 square kilometers of a remote region in Russia.
Now available for free download: 833-45 - Tunguska.
If you enjoy this release, please try to take the time and leave a review, or consider purchasing my Collected Works DVD-R to support my music.
Update: A review of Tunguska has been published by Jeremy Keens on his excellent music blog Ampersand Etcetera.

A great deal of time as past since I released a full length album under my 833-45 moniker — but 2008 will see the release of Tunguska on the distinguished Russian netlabel Musica Excentrica. Sixteen tracks totaling 75 minutes of abstract, untuned beats and static tones. It will be available for free download mid-February, in both high-quality mp3 and lossless FLAC format. Until then, I invite you to download and listen to my previous 833-45 album Solar Cycle 23 or my other 833-45 releases.
Finally, if you enjoy these releases, please consider supporting my music by purchasing my Collected Works DVD-R which has all my net label releases from the past 10+ years, including many that are no longer available.
