I will be posting a selection of podcasts and links that have caught my attention recently. In the meantime, here’s a podcast from the always enlightening CBC Ideas program. It explores the fundamental conception of time in relation to modern physics and reveals that our common sense understanding of time is terribly flawed.

I recently discovered a series of podcasts from CBC Radio that I wanted to recommend: How to think about Science - RSS Feed
So far there are eleven episodes, each featuring an engaging interview with a contemporary figure in science, and their usually controversial ideas. Hosted by David Cayley, the regular voice of another excellent CBC program entitled Ideas (RSS Feed), it provides a rich and nuanced background on the crises and triumphs in current scientific thinking.
Be sure to take a look at all of CBC’s podcasts. They have a large selection of topical programs and provide a model for access and exchange of information that a lot of other broadcasters would do well to emulate.
